# The House That Whispered at 3:17 AM **Genre: Horror / Supernatural / Mystery** The first time Emma heard the whisper, she thought it was the wind. It was 3:17 AM. She was lying awake in her new bedroom, staring at the unfamiliar ceiling of the old farmhouse her parents had bought in rural Pennsylvania. The house was almost a hundred years old. Wooden floors. Cracked windows. A stone chimney covered in ivy. And a long hallway upstairs that seemed much darker than the rest of the house. Emma pulled the blanket closer to her chin. Then she heard it again. “Emma…” Her eyes opened wide. Someone had whispered her name. She sat up. “Mom?” No answer. “Dad?” Silence. Then— “Emma…” This time, the voice came from the hallway. It sounded exactly like her younger brother, Noah. Emma slowly climbed out of bed. She opened her bedroom door. The hallway was empty. Moonlight entered through a small window at the end of the corridor. “Very funny, Noah,” she whispered. Noth...

THE HOUSE THAT CALLS YOUR NAME

# THE HOUSE THAT CALLS YOUR NAME ## Part 1: 3:17 AM **Blackwood, Maine, USA** **2026** It was **3:17 AM** when Maya Thompson suddenly woke up. At first, she didn't know what had awakened her. Her bedroom was completely dark. Outside, a violent wind was blowing through the trees. Branches scraped against the bedroom window. **Tap... Tap... Tap...** Maya sat up slowly. She listened carefully. The sound came again. **Tap... Tap... Tap...** At first, she thought it was coming from the window. Then she realized something that made her blood turn cold. The sound wasn't coming from outside. It was coming from— **Under her bed.** Maya stopped breathing. For several seconds, she couldn't move. Then she slowly reached for the lamp beside her bed. Before her fingers touched the switch, she heard a little girl's voice. "Maya..." Her hand froze. Every hair on her body stood up. She lived alone. "Maya..." This time, the voice was clearer. It was coming from directly beneath her. **Someone was under the bed.** Maya wanted to scream. But no sound came out. Then something slowly moved from beneath the bed. A small hand appeared. Its skin was pale white. The fingernails were black. The fingers were unnaturally long. Maya jumped from the bed and ran toward the bedroom door. She grabbed the handle. It wouldn't open. "Come on!" she whispered desperately. She pulled the handle again. Nothing. Then— Behind her— A little girl began to laugh. **Hee... hee... hee...** Maya slowly turned around. Someone was sitting on her bed. A little girl. Her head was lowered. Long black hair covered her entire face. Maya's knees began to shake. "Who... who are you?" she whispered. The girl slowly lifted her head. Maya screamed. The girl's face had no eyes. No nose. No mouth. Nothing. Only smooth, pale skin. But somehow... She spoke. "You are sleeping in my room." The lamp suddenly went out. Darkness swallowed the entire bedroom. Maya couldn't see anything. Then she felt something standing directly behind her. A freezing breath touched the back of her neck. A voice whispered into her ear. **"Don't look at the door."** Maya slowly turned her head. She looked toward the door. It was open. And someone was standing there. Maya. Another Maya. Same face. Same clothes. Same terrified eyes. The other Maya smiled. "You still don't understand, do you?" Maya's voice shook. "Understand what?" The other Maya smiled wider. "You died three days ago." Suddenly, police sirens echoed outside. Red and blue lights flashed through the bedroom window. Maya slowly walked toward the glass. She looked down. Police officers stood outside the house. An ambulance was parked in front of the old Blackwood House. Two officers were carrying a black body bag. Maya stared at it. The zipper was slightly open. Something inside was visible. A hand. Her hand. Maya stepped closer to the window. Her heart stopped. Inside the body bag was— **Her own dead body.** "No..." Maya whispered. She slowly backed away from the window. Then she felt someone standing behind her again. The faceless little girl was there. This time, she was much closer. "You are like me now," the girl whispered. Suddenly, hundreds of voices filled the house. Whispers came from the walls. From the floor. From the ceiling. From beneath the bed. **"You can never leave..."** **"You can never leave..."** **"You can never leave..."** Maya ran toward the door. She rushed down the stairs. She reached the bottom floor— And stopped. She was back in her bedroom. The same bed. The same darkness. The same faceless girl. Then she heard it again. **Tap... Tap... Tap...** Something was knocking beneath the bed. A voice whispered. "Maya..." Maya slowly looked under the bed. Her blood turned to ice. Another faceless Maya was sitting there. Smiling. Waiting. And then she whispered— **"Now it's your turn to call someone else's name."** # TO BE CONTINUED... ### Next Part: Maya discovers that she is not the only ghost trapped inside Blackwood House. Every night, the house chooses a new victim. And this time... **The house has chosen someone Maya loves.**
